The study entitled "Human Induced Environmental Changes and the Mineral King Canyon" was conducted collaboratively by students of the Univeristy of California at Santa Barbara and Westminster College. The study addresses the following questions:

  • What kinds of environmental change have occurred?
  • What are the primary human proximate causes of this environmental change, and what human driving forces are associated with these proximate causes?
  • What have the major impacts of this environmental change on humans? On biodiversity? What has been the social response?
  • How does this location compare to other locations?
